Creation Farm was recently selected by Project Greeen at MSU(Michigan State University) to help with their innovative micro farm research. Project Greeen has Provided Creation Farm with a 30'x96' Greenhouse to expand its herb and herb plant production while keeping important data that will help shape the future of innovative small farm technologies. 12 sites were selected across Michigan in a variety of Micro Climates for this long term growing study.
Visitors to Creation Farm will be able to view a large variety of Herbs and Vegetables growing at Creation Farm that either started or reside in the new Greenhouse.
The Greenhouse is heated by solar energy captured in the intensively planted thermal mass within raised beds. The natural form of Agriculture practiced at Creation Farm is based on a philosophy known as shumei, which helps farmers grow crops in harmony with nature, also with the well being of the end use consumers in mind.
This means no chemicals, no pesticides, no herbicides, no manure or processed soil additives,
or anything that would interfere with the natural growing processes and potentially harm human beings or the environment.
Only compost made from leaves and grass from our local environment is added to our soils to keep it fertile and moist and all our seeds are open pollenated, non-hybrid, and chemically untreated.
We hope todays consumers will develp gratititude for Natural Agriculture produce and Skin Care from herbs grown by this philosophy. Natural Agriculture is more advanced than certified organic in the philosophy as certified organic allows many things like soil additives and percentages of non-natural grown items in the products. Our Natural grown philosophy does not allow these type of deviations from All Natural Growing Methods.
